Barney and Harry, the duo behind the successful Falmouth Food Festival and the inaugural Penzance Food Festival, are now bringing their expertise and passion for all things Cornish to Newquay. With strong roots in Cornwall and a deep appreciation for its creative and vibrant community, Barney and Harry have built a reputation for creating food festivals that highlight and showcase the best in the county. From fresh, locally sourced produce to handcrafted goods, their events celebrate the talents of farmers, fishermen, chefs, and artisans while fostering a sense of pride in local culture.
Their latest venture, the Newquay Food Festival, is set to make history as the first locally organised event of its kind in the town. Taking place on Killacourt from July 10 to 13, 2025, the festival will transform the space into a lively hub of food, drink, music, and art. The goal is to shine a spotlight on the town’s unique character and support the hardworking individuals who make Newquay’s food and drink scene so special. Beyond the stalls and flavours, the festival will also feature live entertainment and family-friendly activities, offering something for everyone. By creating this festival, the founders hope to establish a lasting and anticipated tradition in Newquay, one that brings the community together while welcoming visitors to experience the charm, creativity, and hospitality that define Cornwall.
